Winthrop H. Smith, Jr. of Warren, Vermont is Chairman and CEO of Summit Ventures NE, LLC which owns Sugarbush Resort. He also serves as President of Sugarbush.
From 1974 to 2002, Mr. Smith was employed with Merrill Lynch & Co. in senior management positions including Executive Vice President, Merrill Lynch & Co., Chairman, Merrill Lynch International and Member of the Executive Management Committee. As Chairman of Merrill Lynch International, Mr. Smith led one of Merrill Lynch & Co.'s four business units with 9,000 employees, over $2 billion in revenues and client assets of $180 billion.
His current directorships include Eaton Vance Corporation, AGF Management Ltd., Richardson GMP Limited, Richardson Financial Group Limited and Summit Ventures NE, LLC (Sugarbush). Mr. Smith majored in political science at Amherst College. He received his MBA from Wharton University.

Andrew Marsh has over 20 years of experience in the financial services sector. Prior to becoming Chief Executive Officer in April 2010, Mr. Marsh was Managing Director, National Sales of Richardson GMP Limited and its predecessor firm GMP Private Client L.P. for six years. In this role, he was responsible for the day to day operations, national recruiting efforts and national sales management.
Mr. Marsh has held the position as President of GMP Insurance Inc., leading operations and strategic initiatives for the estate and family wealth planning services within GMP Private Client. Prior to joining GMP Private Client, Mr. Marsh enjoyed a successful career at ScotiaMcLeod as an Investment Advisor and Branch Manager.
Mr. Marsh is a graduate of the University of Guelph and holds a B.A. (Management Economics). He currently serves as a member of the National Private Client Committee of the Investment Industry Association of Canada. He is also a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association and the Center for Fiduciary Excellence. Mr. Marsh is Chairman of the Board of personal fundraising for Right to Play Canada and is a member of Canada Company which is comprised of Canadian business leaders and works with the military in providing support to family members of those who serve in Canada’s armed forces.
Deputy Chairman, GMP Capital Inc.
Mr. Sullivan is Deputy Chairman of GMP Capital Inc. He has been at GMP since October 1995 and co-founded GMP Securities L.P. Mr. Sullivan served as President from 1996-1999 and as Chief Executive Officer of GMP from June 1999 to September 2010.
Mr. Sullivan has 25 years of experience and relationships in the capital markets industry. During his tenure as CEO at GMP, Mr. Sullivan oversaw the creation and growth of Richardson GMP, GMP Europe and GMP Investment Management. In addition, he successfully oversaw GMP’s IPO in 2003 and has since helped the company grow from a market value of $300M to over $1B in that time. Prior to GMP he spent three years in the European capital market and was also a lawyer in general practice in Calgary, Alberta.
Mr. Sullivan has been involved in a number of charitable endeavours and community organizations, including co-chairing The Ride to Conquer Cancer, Canada’s premier cycling fundraiser. He is a past member of the Ontario Securities Commission Industry Advisory Group, past Board member of The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, and a member of the Canadian Advisory Board of Right to Play.
President & Chief Executive Officer Richardson Financial Group Limited
Mr. Riley is President and Chief Executive Officer of Richardson Financial Group Limited, the financial services affiliate of James Richardson & Sons, Limited. He has held that position since 2003.
Prior to joining RFGL, Mr. Riley was, for nearly 10 years, President and Chief Executive Officer of Investors Group Inc. and was appointed Chairman in May 2001.
Mr. Riley is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the University of the Winnipeg Foundation and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the North West Company Fund. He serves as a Director of Molson Coors Brewing Company, the Canada West Foundation, the Canadian Western Bank Group and the Winnipeg Airports Authority.
Mr. Riley has also been involved in a number of charitable endeavours including chairing The United Way of Winnipeg Annual Campaign, the Business Council of Manitoba and the 1999 Pan American Games. Mr. Riley was appointed as a Member of the Order of Canada in 2002.
Director, Wealth Management and Portfolio Manager Richardson GMP Limited
Mark Begg has over 15 years of experience in the investment industry. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, Portfolio Manager and a graduate of Bishop’s University with a degree in Economics and Finance.
Mr. Begg started in the investment industry at BMO Nesbitt Burns where he held a variety of head office management and product management positions before building The Begg Cheng Wealth Management Group. He joined Richardson GMP’s predecessor firm, Richardson Partners Financial in 2004 as a founding Investment Advisor. Mr. Begg is also Branch Manager for the Toronto Brookfield office. Mr. Begg supports a variety of fundraising activities for charities in his community.

Robert Panes has been in the investment industry since 1979, when he joined Wood Gundy after completing a degree in Economics at the University of Western Ontario. He remained at that firm until November of 2005, when he joined Richardson GMP’s predecessor firm, GMP Private Client.
Mr. Panes is a Portfolio Manager and is also licensed by the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation.
Mr. Panes has been involved with various fundraising committees for local community projects and participates in annual committee work for fundraising to support The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
